Notes: siege72 speed correction Original Lineage: Nakamichi ZX-7 > Tascam HD-P2 24/96 > WAV > FLAC Resample to 16/44 and speed correction performed in GoldWave, encoded to FLAC with DBPowerAmp Anyone familiar with this recording knows at least half of it was basically useless due to horrific speed problems no doubt caused by dead batteries somewhere along the line. Not only did this result in a 'Chipmunk'-type effect late in the show, but also general speed variation throughout most of the recording starting in about the second or third number. Repairing this was a major effort that took a VERY LONG time, but I felt finally getting a suitable document for this very nice performance was worth the effort. I also corrected any pops, clicks, etc. I encountered along the way. A sample of the last verse of 'Echoes' is included in the torrent - the first half was the original (featuring Alvin, Theodore, etc.), the second speed-corrected. Note: I did not do a 24/96 version of this even though the original was 24/96. Unfortunately I'm used to only working with 16/44 playback rates and trying to do something this involved with 24/96 playback rates was too difficult an adjustment, so I resampled to 16/44 before doing the work. I don't hear any difference in sound quality whatsoever but wanted to mention this regardless. Hope everyone agrees this is a major improvement on this recording! siege72 June 2018
