Notes: From Marc Roberty’s “The Complete Recording Sessions” ‘Eric had recruited Gary Brooker as unofficial musical director for the group, and immediately set about recording his new album. The sessions produced some fairly uninspired results. It is difficult to pinpoint blame; maybe it was Eric being lazy, maybe it was the band being too laid back, or perhaps Glyn Johns in his role as producer was not assertive enough. Whatever the reason, the album was finished and mastered and cassette copies were sent around to various RSO executives. It was to be called Turn Up Down, but all concerned decided it was not good enough to release.’ Studio Session for Turn Up Down March – April 1980 Surrey Sound Studios, Leatherhead, Surrey Blues Instrumental There Ain’t No Money Games Up Rita Mae Freedom Evangelina Home Lovin’ Hold Me Lord Something Special I’d Love To Say I Love You Catch Me If You Can Thunder And Lightning Oh How I Miss My Baby’s Love (not on DJ Boot) Produced and engineered by Glyn Johns Same musicians as on Another Ticket sessions (July – August 1980, Compass Point Studios, Nassau, Bahamas) DJ bootleg > CDR > EAC > Hard drive > flac --------------------------------------------------------------------
