Info file says, "the lp runs very fast so i speed corrected this and declicked it. it's less complete than the low gen cass. this is missing alot of announcer and some waters chatter but the sound is very nice in comparison to the low gen: this has a lot less hiss and seems to be a bit clearer but the low gen has better bass. a couple of my friends said they prefer the sound of this, i think i may agree."

Notes: Converts to 2 audio discs - D2 starts with Comfortably Numb LINEAGE: Cassette (Sony UX-90, NR-off) > Denon DRM-800 Cassette Player > Turtle Beach Santa Cruz PCI Sound Card > CDWave > Goldwave (fade in/out only) > wav > FLAC 6 Notes: Pink Floyd's 1980/81 tour to support "The Wall" involved 30 concerts (31 planned, one was scrapped). Eight of these shows (about a rocker-turned-Nazi, remember?) were performed in Floyd-manic Germany (all at Westfallenhalle, Dortmund). This new seed, created by me (details below) in July 2005, is from a recording of the final German show. I purchased this on tape at a record show in Connecticut, and have transferred without any processing except fades (beginning and end) and track cuts. Tape lineage is unknown, but seems reasonably low-gen: no bothersome hiss or speed problems. Vocals and instruments are all heard well, dynamic range is somewhat lacking, making this tape a solid B+. The show itself is great. This was one of the shows which included the extended jam before "Goodbye Cruel World," which is very cool, and Roger seems especially nasty on this night, which is also a good thing ("Do you like our pig? He doesn't seem to like some of you very much..."). Overall a nice, good-quality Wall show, and one which doesn't seem to circulate often. Enjoy! --Doc
