Notes: Lossless Lost Alive II Tokyo, Japan 4/77 Source: C.J. Master Cassette Lineage: C.J. Master Cassette> PC> Audio Lab> CD> EAC "Secure"> Traders Little Helper> flac8 Notes: Before we continue, throw any and all versions of this you may have in the garbage right now!!! All circulating copies are 1st gen Mini disc sources. This tape was bought by a very dear friend of mine while at a convention. This was "leaked" through "Fried Alive" soon after being bounced to mini disc for mastering (which was not needed.) Fried Alive copies even had clicks between the tracks that have been edited out on some of the pressed versions. This here is the original master cassette that all these copies came from. This will not get any better than what you have here unless the original reel's turn up. Totally untouched transfer, Audio lab was only used to cut lead in and out tape. This is originally off of a reel, possibly the same reel that was in the KISS auction that waspulled? sometimes you can hear artifacts from the reel. While there is no way possible to know the generation of the Master Cassette, Its believed straight Reel to Cassette. Either way this cassette is the lowest generation known to exist. There is no actual date for this recording. It would have been from all of the Japan '77 shows. Kramer certainly mixed and matched and picked out the best versions for this unreleased live album. Yeah, the tape problems during "I Want You" are certainly a flaw on this otherwise awesome recording, but it's certainly worth putting up with for what we get.... an unreleased live album from 77, that made it all the way to the mixing stages before being shelved. We get true vintage perfect sounding live versions of "Do You Love Me" and "Take Me", both left off of Alive II, as well as unique versions of two songs from the first Alive. This is a must have and truly one of the jewels of the unreleased KISS audio collection. It may be a bit shorter and not include any "Love Gun" material, but this smokes the offiicial Alive II release.

Notes: I have a disc with 19 tracks. The first 11 are those listed above. Tracks 12-19 are outtakes/alternates from the same studio recordings that made up side 4 of the original vinyl release of Alive II. This is awesome.
