INCOMPLETE RECORDING sb
Here is an incomplete show featuring The Guess Who shortly after Randy Bachman had left (quit, fired) the band. Featuring two Winnipeg guitarists in Kurt Winter (from Brother) and Greg Leskiw (can't remember where he was from...Logan Ave Comfort Station ex Shags). The set features part of the song "Key" from "Canned Wheat", a Kurt Winter tune from Bother called "Hand Me Down World", the current hit "American Woman" and the set closer, "No Time". It would have been nice to have the whole version of Key as this is the only known live documentation of this Gem from Canned Wheat in circulation. Live, I imagine it would have been an extended jam as is evident by the flute playing and scatting of Burton Cummings. This is a good sounding show albeit very short. |

Notes: |
There is the end of an instrumental jazzy jam (with Burton on flute) before Key. Partial concert, about 20 minutes worth. The Guess Who played an evening 1 set show on a multiple artist billing. |
