Despite being in the middle of a solo acoustic tour, Jackson rounded up his band (backup siner Katherine Russell flew in from touring with David Bowie in Hong Kong just for this show!), and an impressive cast of guests. Among the special guests were former band members Vonda Shepard, Scott Thurston (currently with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) and Danny Kortchmar, as well as Marc Cohn and Bruce Springsteen, who inducted Jackson the night before. This recording was compiled from two different sources to ensure the best possible release. I doubt you'll notice the transitions from one source to another. | |||||
