Notes: The Radiators Acoustic Heat Gen 2.5 The Call Providence, RI 1996-08-26 After having the Rads at the Call on a Sunday in June for a one night HeatGen 2, they were going to be in the area again and we squeezed this second night out of them for HeatGen 2.5. This is a SCORCHER Acoustic show. The Rads were on the road doing a "BarnBurner Tour" that summer where they got about 45 minutes of stage time each night to play at the outdoor places like Great Woods with Buddy Guy etc. and this one-off show allowed them stretch it out and get their rocks off in an unplugged way. You'll hear it in their intro! My buddy John Dimaio was gracious enough to let us get them in The Call on fairly short notice. It was a very packed house for Acoustic Radiation on a Monday night. Those were the days! Once again, Radiators Acoustic with all the energy of an electric show. The set list sez it all. What a way to spend a Monday night and this download will let you experience it! Thanks to all the tapers that showed up... especially Gerry G who is responsible for this one. Thanks to Kenny Samuels (who has a way with mixing both the FOH and board feed on separate mixes simultaneously like nobody else) for the patchbay, the Radiators, all the FishHeads that would look forward to and support the HeatGen shows and the late great Tim Clary.
