Very good recording. The official show record only lists a couple of songs, but this is the complete show. Includes a few tracks from the soundcheck with Benard Fowler on vocals. Good performance. Mick was apparently coming down with the flu, which caused the re-scheduling of two shows in San Jose later in the week. From what I remember, all of us who gathered in San Jose for those shows were surprised to hear Mick had been getting ill in Sacramento. The performance didn't show it. It was the first time they'd played Sacramento since 1966. Keith makes a reference to almost being electrocuted the last time he was in Sacramento. He remembers wrong, though only a little -- it was '65 that he almost died in Memorial Auditorium, not '66....You can't possibly care about that bit of information, but there it is. |
