Working from the same problematic source, we were able to make some modest improvements beyond the welcome addition of menus and chapters. Sound was boosted and given a bit more depth. The original had an on-screen time counter that we felt was both unsightly and distracting. It has been removed from this release. Finally, video filters were applied to sharpen the picture in places and lighten it in others. | |||||

| Notes: | Because it was reported that there was a flaw that affected some DVD players, VLS has produced an update which is now available. We are really sorry for the inconvenience. Sellers bungling is legendary, but we all want the best quality DVD possible. Thanks for undertstanding! This VLS update will only be available as a VLS seed for the next 24 hours as the annex must turn off all power for a major renovation project. Information from the original torrent: The conclave in the VLS bunker has ended, and those brave souls cloistered therein have been released. The time was deemed auspicious, and the tabulations confirmed it. Thus the happy announcement can be made of a new VLS DVD release: Van Morrison in concert at the Winterland Arena in San Francisco February 2, 1974. Apparently pro-shot, up until now this show nevertheless has had a very limited circulation, perhaps because of the mediocre quality of the tape. Current VHS copies are rumored to originate from the Umatic of a Dylan collector, but until someone unearths a fresher tape, Van fans must make due with what is available. We think you will be happy to have this version, carefully prepared for you by your friends on the Vanlose Stairway.
