Comment
Manson didn't record anything in 1989 he started recording in January or February since it's on the first demo which was released in march. This cd is actually the answering machine messages found on "The Big Black Bus" demo and used as an intro in various live shows before they got signed

This are the notes that I've found on an old manson bootleg site:

Ft. Lauderdale, FL - November 1989
^^NOTE^^This was previously thought to be from Miami, 1990. Ist got the Rev (obviously) on vocals, Madonna on keyboards, Daisy on guitar, Gidget on Bass, and a drum machine for drums.
(

Since the very first SK show was in 1990, the information above can't be completely true but anyway it is the earliest known MM video recording. Venue may be The Squeeze - the announcer says "the squeeze" after the show but I'm not sure if he's talking about the venue or something else.

www.spookykids.net cites the following from alt.music.marilyn-manson:
> Hey kids, the latest on the '89 video. The date is NOT 1989 on this tape,
> the show took place at the Reunion Room in Ft. Lauderdale in mid to late
> 1990. So the date we all have is wrong. Also this show marks the first
> appearance of Madonna Wayne Gacy as a member of Marilyn Manson. [...]

Birth Of The Antichrist / Not the earliest known recording but still an early one. Since they didn't have a drummer until somewhere in 1991 this recording must be from 1991 or 1992. The setlist is also pretty untypical for 1990.

update 2009-11: Someone who had been at the Squeeze recently told me that he recognizes the venue because they used to cover the dj booth with plastic which can be seen in the back of the stage. He also has a flyer dated July 1991 that introduces Sara Lee Lucas as their drummer. Therefore this recording is definitely from 1991 or 1992.

Big Black Bus / The first four tracks are taken from an original professionally duplicated cassette of the Gagfish Records "Someone Sung These Songs For Satan" compilation. Gagfish had original copies of this demo, so that would make this 2nd or 3rd generation, depending on his mastering process.

The Hotline Messages are taken from a different, lower quality copy of the cassette, with volume adjusted in Soundforge.
MG (5/5) DVD (NTSC/LPCM) / 1 B- View   GEN: VHS(2) > DVDR

It has many cuts and is incomplete. Filmed from front stage, I'd guess about third row.

The Beaver Meat Cleaver Beat / This is ripped from a second generation copy of the long-rumored BMCB. The original was obtained by a collector from producer Frank "Rat Bastard" Falestra, who was interviewed in Demystifying The Devil.
