Notes: Tom Waits - The Audimax, Hamburg, Germany 2CD B+ * December 4th 1987 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found this TW in my archives,a nice audience show from 87,with a nice cover of "James Brown" song . I didn't see it on the tracker.I think it's the first reseed since 2005. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I noticed this tape showing up on a few traders lists back in 2002. I collected Waits boots since 1999 and went out of my way to collect every 1987 show I could find, so I was excited to see this one show up and I fervently went after it. I got this show from a guy who claimed he got it from the master, which made sense because he had almost everything Tom Waits ever did on CDR, he was an authority to say the least. So I am confident that this is as good as this show will ever get, no upgrades on the horizon, unless a different source tape shows up in the future. That being said the sound quality of these CDs is merely good, definitely not for the casual fan, there are some surface noise that crops up from time to time, kinda a static crackling (I’m guessing that since this tape started circulating a few years ago, these crackles are due to poor preservation of the master tape???) (it kinda sounds like an old 78 record) CD-R trade -> WAV -> FLAC (level 8) Setlist: CD1 1. intro 2. Hang On St Christopher 3. 16 Shells From A Thirty-Ought Six 4. Way Down In The Hole 5. Tom Trauberts Blues *Side note: my favorite Tom Waits concert of all time is the 12/5/87 Hamburg show (the night after this show) , I would love to torrent my copy but I feel that it is too full of hiss and the track changes are quite rough (you can tell it’s a great audience recording, underneath all that garbage, but my copy is several generations removed from the master), so if anyone feels they have a definitive copy of that show, please put it up here, everyone will love it, I’m sure, it just flat out rocks! ------------------------------------------------------------- It's a reseed from Jan 2005.Thanks for the first uploader. ------------------------------------------------------------ Enjoy! lolita(2013)
