| Notes: | "Prince's first birthday under his new name, back in the dirty-mouthed days when he actually DID celebrate his birthday. As he didn't take to the stage until after midnight (12:30am), the show actually took place on the morning of the 8th June, not 7th June. This is Ladybird's pressed DVD release of the heavily circulating DVD-R, or VCD that has been doing the rounds for years. The quality is (ever so slightly) improved over the already circulating footage, but not by much. The show itself is fantastic with Prince having a great time - it's loose and funky, but a technical mess at the same time. The show was broadcast to the Glam Slam clubs in L.A. & Minneapolis, however because of the time delay, when P tries talking to the other clubs via satellite, they either don't hear him, or they answer the question he asked 5 minutes before - it's so shit it's funny! It's cool to have these brilliant one-off gigs on pressed DVD, however I can't help feeling they could have been cleaned up a bit more." | |||||
