Notes: lineage: tape > PC > CD > FLAC Description Here is another in the series of Going For The One shows that the Tooleman asked me to provide. I had these tapes for about 25 years and so I dug them out and..oh boy, what a mess! The sound is ok, the bass was a little overwhelming in spots for the mics, the volume fluctuated in both channels, there are muffled spots, speed was off, there was a hollowness to the sound, Close To The Edge was split on tape sides and fades out/in during the organ solo. You name it, the tapes had it. I cleaned it up as best I could, but my guess is, at the very least, a 2nd gen; probably higher than that. If anyone has an upgrade, please put it up. At this early stage of the tour there was no Tour Song. There is a little instrumental at the beginning of GFTO, but that's about it.

Notes: Yes : The Lostbrook Tape Series - Volume 40 On our second and final night in Philadelphia, John, Jody, and I once again visited the scalpers outside the Spectrum to upgrade our seats. I don’t recall where my friends ended up, but I traded my ticket and $15 for a third row center seat. The previous night, I was distraught when Tape 1 ran out 10 seconds before the end of “Awaken” - little did I know then that one day I would let someone borrow that tape and it would vanish forever! Fortunately, I still have this tape as a souvenir of my Philadelphia experience. I also learned how to capture “Awaken” without interruption. This tape is for you Philadelphia – except for those Flyers fans that surrounded my car in the Spectrum parking lot after a playoff loss to my NY Rangers.
