Compression was used to bring down the level of the applause and the "pumping and breathing" that results from such heavy compression is audible. To properly capture Acuff-Rose the night before, the microphone preamp gain was turned all the up, and left that way until 40 minutes into this night's show. Because of this all crowd applause, which was fully distorted, between songs has been removed and fades applied.
