Note: Circulates with Venue as Fitzgerald's, but this venue has been confirmed with a ticket stub. This is the complete set, Stevie was on tour promoting his first album and opening for someone else.
THIS IS A MUST-HAVE SHOW FOR ANY SRV FAN. This is not something I say about every show I post, as you may have noticed. This is very definitely among the very hottest shows of 1983. You may recall the RALS project I did where I listened carefully to every known SRV show to pick my favorite performances from that year. More songs came from this one show than any other single show. Just flaming SRV!

Sound samples provided
There is audible hiss on this recording, but I don't care for noise reduction and the negative effect it has on the overall sound. The best cure would be for the taper to upload the master!
The first song or so has a hiss that cycles in and out, but it goes away. You won't really notice hiss again until "Lenny," when the overall sound level drops.
DON'T let sound quality stop you from uploading this show, it sounds pretty damn good and the performance is as good as it gets.
There is also some talking here and there early on, but you NEED this show. |
