Notes: I'd rate this B++ or A--. I taped it. Just a simple bar down the way from SDSU. The band came over to my house, I think after this show. Nice guys. I also drove up to L.A. at the El Senario club and saw them open for the URINALS mid week. After their gig I interviewed them for the small local zine Noise For Heroes in their van. They played me snippets of their upcoming lst lp. I was discombobulated to hear some country twang when all they'd released to that date was the unbelievable In a Car 7" which still today is one of the most intense records ever made along with their 1 song on the MONITOR lp that came from that same session. There's some trax from that 7" recording on the Rykodisc reissue of the lst lp. Those all by itself make that CD worth getting. Get it if you like severe early MEAT PUPPETS. 53:22.
