Total time - 1hr 47min 50sec
Notes - Loud and upfront recording. Direct, clear, with little or no subtleties. Definitely recommended for fans of Danny. The best Tool recording I made in this year, for those that have heard others, with little or no crowd noise, no movement etc.
Show Notes - Tool rocked this night. Most enjoyable show I saw from them last year. Tight and rocking, with Maynard a little petulant approaching the end of the tour. They'd honed it by this end of the tour and just hit it.
Recordings notes - Tool had boosted up the levels for the poor arena acoustics, so brought down the bass slightly. Just -8db at 60Hz, shelving low frequency bandwidth. This takes a bit of bite out of Danny's kick drum, whilst retaining the bass.
- For burning to CDs, suggest a split after Wings 1 & 2

Transfer: MT2496 > USB2.0 > HDD > Cool Edit Pro 2.1 [cut, FadeIn/Out, normalize track09,10,11 to 100%, normalized the whole file to 130%, bass lift (using the graficEQ - "simple bass lift")] > dBPowerAmp (flac7)
Taper Notes: had some problems with the trsadapter or the line-in of the mt2496 -> its a dualmono recording! |
