Notes: Pro Shot NTSC Video. Unreleased 1978 Tour Documentary. Eric is a mess (drunk) throughout most of this documentary. There's still some great live footage on there though. Considering there isn't much video from the 70's available, this DVD is well worth a view. Notes: DV302 Hi All, Thanks to Thee Brian R. for hooking me up with this nice DVD, straight off his silver master. It includes both the "EC Master" and "Alternate, Longer" versions. The "EC Master" version is of higher quality (very good) but the alternate version isn't bad (good). Tanantura, in their infinite wisdom, decided to squeeze 3 hrs. of material onto 1 disc, would've been better to spread it across 2 discs IMO for a better bitrate. Having said that, the quality is still as good as any version you'll find. I compared this Tarantura version to the 3logy version listed on AG's website: http://www.geetarz.org/reviews/clapton/rolling-hotel-boot-dvd.htm Even though the 3logy version was encoded at a higher bitrate, the quality of the Tarantura version is just as good visually, but the 3logy version has superior audio. The 3 logy version isn't allowed here at DIME because some of the bonus footage has been officially released. Just so you guys know, Eric is a mess throughout most of this documentary, drunk off his ass! There's still some great live footage on there though. Considering there isn't much video from the 70's available, this DVD is well worth the grab.
