The compressed MPEG video and audio data from the DVB broadcast was captured directly using PC DVB-S and DVB-T cards, and it is that original data that is used on the DVD - no analogue stages, and no recompression. The recording is tested to be 100% error-free - i.e. no dropped frames. This DVD has the following special features: 1) Full menus with track selection and "play all" feature; 2) "Artist selection" menu allowing the playing of just the tracks by a single artist; 3) 5.1 Dolby Digital (AC-3) audio as broadcast on BBC HD (original broadcast bitstream). 4) Subtitles as broadcast by the BBC, which include the full synchronised lyrics to every song. (Enable or disable them using the "Subtitle" button on your DVD remote control.)
