With what he had to work with, he did a fine job. We went through multiple takes on these two tracks with these two being the lesser of two evils. The sound is still bad, but at least you can tell there is music in this version. Thanks Jamie - It sounds as both tracks are cut at the beginning and the end. - This is a very rough recording. I would definitely mark this one completists only. - "Parker solos only, and poor quality throughout. "The Chase" is the Tadd Dameron tune, not, pace the Philology notes, the Wardell Gray/Dexter Gordon tune."- Credit to Peter Losin, http://www.plosin.com/ - "The Parker Quintet played a four-day gig at the Pershing Hotel Ballroom from January 3-6; on Saturday the 3rd they played a dance at the New Savoy Ballroom opposite the Claude McLin Combo. - Credit to Peter Losin, http://www.plosin.com/ - QC done by Bgreen md5 7e1f851cf8efed2877cc3ea58a99830b *md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t01.flac ea7d903f24091b420c9d08a6ec7da302 *md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t02.flac ffp md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t01.flac:16651b9ecbda0731b8e78c616d887142 md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t02.flac:5bcb05e29ef9335969e7afee5e801aa2 shntool length expanded size cdr WAVE problems filename 1:35.58 16894460 --- -- ---xx md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t01.flac 1:42.25 18051644 --- -- ---xx md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t02.flac 3:18.08 34946104 B (totals for 2 files, 0.3761 overall compression ratio) spectral analysis from TLH md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t01.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 99% md1948-01-XX.LL89.d1t02.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 100% old ffp 16 - Track16.flac:7c9c00a8a6dad9ee0bd1e7f2071a09da 17 - Track17.flac:01bcdb0a384283f837ed99e79eaae19c
