Comment
Radio Bremen television performance for "The Beat Club" performed near the end of March of 1969. Only "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" was broadcast.

Initially, the producers of Beat Club weren't really impressed/amused by Zep's performance and did not broadcast the filmed material. Only in spring 1970, when "Whole Lotta Love" became popular in Germany, the Beat Club producers used the previously filmed material to produce a video clip using the commercially released version of "Whole Lotta Love" for the clip's audio portion. The originally recorded audio portions were not used. The "Whole Lotta Love" clip was aired on March 28, 1970, Beat Club #53.

According to: Dave Lewis, Simon Pallett: Led Zeppelin - The Concert File, 2005 ISBN 978-0711953079 Led Zeppelin performed "Babe I'm gonne leave you" and "You shook me" end of March 1969 in the TV studios of Radio Bremen for the "Beat Club" show. The producers of Beat Club weren't really impressed/amused by Zep's performance and did not broadcast the filmed material. This unfortunately incomplete version of the previously unaired "Babe I'm gonna leave you" is captured from a recent broadcast of "Vinyl -- RockPopGeschichte(n)". Now if only the show hosts Joerg Sonntag and Dirk Boehling would learn how to make people like us happy: by airing complete clips and not to talk while the clips are running... hopefully someone hears my prayer...
