AUD (see location below) > Sony ECM-719 > > Edirol R-09 (24-bit/48.0 kHz) > SDHC Panasonic RP-SDM04G |
Notes: |
I have located myself about 15 m in front of the right stack with the mic mounted on hat
I thought the location was optimal because the mic could take the sound quite directly from the monitor but I have unfortunately neglected the noisy (and likely drunk) crowd around
During the concert I have tried to move myself around maintaining the same distance from the right stack but I have never found a place with quiet audience
The result is a very good recording (imho) with regards to the quality of the sound, but severely affected by clapping, screaming and chatting people (sorry my fault)
What about the show?
A rainy day, but fortunately rain stopped just at the beginning of the show
It was my first Radiohead concert and I was impressed by the power, passion and "beauty" of the performance
Lights and backing videos fit appropriately with the show and the music
Personal highlights: Lucky, Pyramid Song, WF/A, Optimistic, Reckoner, JFIP, CUTW (with Euro2008 live sample on Italian radio), Street Spirit and the whole E2 |

Tape story:
Personal highlights: Lucky, Pyramid Song, WF/A, Optimistic, Reckoner, JFIP, CUTW (with Euro2008 live sample on Italian radio), Street Spirit and the whole E2
Technical notes:
- The total running time of the recording was 2:00:52; I have cut first/last useless seconds reducing the master to 1:59:04
- I have occasionally reduced people clapping and screaming (-1.5/-3.0 dB, when possible) for your listening pleasure and faded-out the last 10-15 secs
- A possible microgap could have been generated by the recorder since Edirol R-09 do not support track longer than 2 GB
So I have manually split the recording between Reckoner and Everything In Its Right Place (I have used the very same point to split tracks 15 and 16)
Please do not sell nor convert to mp3 for distribution (mp3 only for personal use!)
