Notes on the show: After getting into these guys about 7 years ago, to hear they were going to play at SPAC, only 1 hr & 30 mins. from my place, there was no way I was missing this. By this show, the guys are in perfect harmony and any kinks have been completely ironed out. What you have here is an amazing performance by 4 of the most talented musicians around. I only wish that the crowd at times would have known to get in their seats before the start time as it was very distracting but doesn't really affect what I think is a very decent recording (I hope all you audiophiles out there can agree, it's only the 2nd show I've ever recorded so go easy on me!) as the mic was clipped to my shirt so there isn't any jostling or anything. I had to boost in the audio as I had my record setting on auto and the mic sensitivity set to low (and I'm glad I did as Stanley's bass alone practically brought the amphitheatre down!) just to be safe that there would be no overmodulation. I sincerely hope you get the chance to see these guys live, they're off for the European leg of their world tour now but will return to America in a few months. If you feel you can improve on the recording, please fee free to do so! Only the audio boost was applied, no other modifications have been done.
