Notes: Howdy Kiddies! Up for your pleasure is a show I would have not attended if it wasn't for the fact that a very good friend of mine (and a big AC/DC fan) Doug Goodman is currently working for The Smashing Pumpkins as tour manager. The last ime I saw him I gave him a spindle of Bon Scott AC/DC shows I got mainly from here (since all his is on cassette and would take forever to transfer) but they "vanished" from the tour bus when it was being "cleaned" at the end of the tour. Lucky for Doug I had burnt me a copy of every show I burned for him (I still have the flac files saved to DVD) so that problem was solved. I also had some DVDs for him also and asked him if Billy was looking for anything and he said "Booker T & The MG's" and the only thing I could get on short notice was the Neil Young show from Mountain View when they backed him up. I also made copies of both Isaac Hayes soundboards that was upped here last week. I'm not sure what Billy thinks about what I gave him but he is into all the "Classic" Stax artists and TSP are taper friendly so it wouldn't hurt to pass the info on! He seemed to be very nice person to me as I went early to talk to Doug and there was only a few people around at the time. It's a different story when a very large crowd is around. I didn't see any rigs but I "stealthed" from 5th row (Row C behind the orchestra pit) and took a few frends with me so there is some conversations in the recording. I'm not a huge fan of the Pumpkins but I would go see them again if the right opportunity should come up again. Once again I want to thank Doug for the tickets AND for bringing me some fresh batteries when I found out mine was dead 10 minutes before the show.... (cellphones....you got to love them!) if he didn't save me you would not be downloading this show right now! The next day when I stopped for my morning newspaper my car wouldn't start and I was lated for work..... turns out my car battery had a dead cell too! GRRRR! Enjoy!
