Notes: The Doobie Brothers Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall Baltimore, MD Nov. 12, 2002 Excellent soundboard / audience matrix (from cassette master) A stellar recording from "The RS Arvhives" (a Mexminute/TheCommish production) ** mp3 samples provided (as always) in the Comments section ** This Doobies torrent is dedicated to the late Fred Berry (Mar. 19, 1951 - Oct. 21, 2003)... a/k/a Freddie "Rerun" Stubbs from "What's Happening!!". You can see Rerun's famous "bootleg" scene with the Doobies on right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Lb7Y4_zYk And who can forget the classic line from Roger "Raj" Thomas during that same episode: "Which Doobie you be? A-haaaaaaaa!!!" Setlist: 101. Rockin' Down The Highway 102. Jesus Is Just Alright 103. Rocking Horse 104. Dangerous 105. South City Midnight Lady 106. Five Corners 107. Ordinary Man 108. Jericho 109. Listen To The Music Lineage: Cassette master > Nakamichi CR-7A (playback) > HHB CDR-850 (burning) > CDR, then CDR > EAC > WAV > Editing (see below) > FLAC Frontend > FLAC Editing notes: * Track 102: There was a very brief (1/10 of a second) section of diginoise near the 0:36 mark; I was able to successfully patch in an identical section from about the 1:28 mark. You wouldn't even know this if I didn't point it out. In addition, removed an extremely small skip near the 0:54 mark * Track 106: Removed small skip at 1:19 mark * Track 201 (1:59-2:01 mark): Decreased volume -3dB since the volume of the applause was fluctuating; now plays much more smoothly * Track 205 (5:09-5:10 mark, during "Baltimore"): Increased volume +4dB to better match volume of "Maryland" which is said immediately after it * Track 207: Removed extremely small gap at 0:57 mark and decreased volume -2dB (2:07-2:08 mark only) to smooth out fluctuation of crowd applause * Track 210: Deleted 2 seconds of crowd applause right before the band's final words at the conclusion of the song--this was done because the volume of the crowd applause was fluctuating (possibly due to the certain mics being turned on/off); also deleted 53 seconds of audience applause at the end of the track (after the band's final words) and applied a fade-out using Nero's wave editor Other volume adjustments/notes: * Track 101: Increased volume +3dB (0:00-1:17), +4dB (1:17 end) * Tracks 102-105: Increased volume + 4dB (entire track) * Track 106: Increased volume +7dB (0:00-0:11), +10dB (0:11-2:42), +7dB (2:42-end) * Track 107: Increased volume +7dB (0:00-0:14), +4dB (0:14-end) * Track 108: Increased volume +4dB (entire track) * Track 109: Increased volume +4dB (0:00-2:26), +3dB (2:26-3:35), +1dB (3:35-end) * Track 110: Increased volume +1dB (0:00-3:34), +4db (3:34-3:36), +7dB (3:36-end) * No volume adjustments were made to Disc 2 (Tracks 201-210). Track 209 does play slightly louder than the other tracks but I since I didn't want to clip any of the sound, I thought it would be better to leave that track unadjusted. The band: Skylark - bass, vocals Marc Russo - saxaphone Patrick Simmons - guitar, vocals John McFee - guitar, vocals, slide, pedal steel, acoustic, everything with strings on it Michael Hossack - drums Guy Allison - keyboards Keith Knudsen - drums, vocals M.B. Gordy - percussion Tom Johnston - guitar, vocals

Notes: This is the 2002 version of the Doobies. The show is quite nice and the recording quality is very good. There's nothing to whine about regarding this show, but I'm going with even money that someone will find something to bitch about.
