comments:
two days after SRV & DT played at Matthews Arena in Boston
they played a free show in Medford which is not far at all
from Boston. that show which was recently posted, was a
slightly different set than this show, this one doesn't have Taxman.
the last song is NOT the same song as by the Cars in the late 70's.
(this was the setlist of 4/28/88 Matthews Arena Boston concert)

4.Look At Little Sister 4:40
5.Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love 9:35
6.You'll Be Mine 4:54
7.Mary Had A Little Lamb 7:59
8.Taxman! 4:51
9.Life Without You 11:23

12.Cold Shot 5:00
13.Couldn't Stand The Weather 7:31
this one is missing a little of the 1st song and there is some variation of
sound with people waliking in front of the mikes but it's a pretty enjoyable
capture. probably not the best Stevie show, pretty standard set, but a good one.
I've never heard a bad SRV show. there's not alot of crowd noise, pretty mellow
crowd for a SRV show. there's a drum solo in "couldn't stand the weather".
just a few seconds missed at the 2 tape flips, and maybe as much as the
1st minute or two are missing from the 1st song. Thanks to Purple Moon Prod.
for recording this show and providing me a 1st gen. tape copy of it many years ago.
I think this was a free concert with a few other bands, not sure who else was playing
there that day. |
