Sony ECM-719 > Sony MZ-RH 1 |
Notes: |
Recording position near the soundboard, but I moved forwards during the show (up to 8 m to the stage). Crowd banter can be heard in-between songs and during quiet parts.
The Luxembourg show is another great performance of the band during their recent European tour, introducing their brand-new album Octahedron with 5 tracks. All in all a well-balanced set list with songs of their last 5 studio albums.
Other things to take note of: again an exciting guitar solo during Viscera, also great vocals; some interesting drumming interlude during the guitar solo in Cygnus and a lot of jamming; haunting vocal effects in the beginning of Ilyena; fabulous breakdown in Luciforms, again part of The Smiths' song 'That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore' is sung by Cedric (6:14).
After Halo Cedric said sorry for cancelling last year's show, the crowd accepted by cheering. In my opinion the audience was a bit reserved, they clapped more after the well-known songs though.
Some cover art is also included (nothing special, since I did not bring my camera this time), feel free to use it or post something you made. Visit the Comatorium ( http://forum.thecomatorium.com/forum/ ) for reviews and more from the show.
Please do not convert the recording to mp3 unless for personal use. And please do not sell.
