Notes: *Unfortunately the beginning of the show (Intro, Inertiatic ESP, Cotopaxi) is missing, because there were mic problems at first, which I did not notice until the end of Cotopaxi. **Discs were changed after Teflon (faded out and in). Recording from behind the soundboard, a little right of the center (15 m from stage). Crowd banter can be heard in-between songs and during quiet parts. It took a while to get this out. Back home at my computer, I tested some EQ filters, but couldn't make up my mind which one did the best to it. And now, more than a year later, I hardly remember the details of the editing process, but have 3 different versions on my hard disc. After listening again, I have picked this one (thanks to Gene for helping), so here you go. Show notes: This was the 5th gig of the European tour leg in November/December 2009 introducing Dave Elitch on drums. Solid performance with the excellent setlist for the 2nd European tour leg, which brought back some De-loused songs and neglects most of the Bedlam album, probably because of the short time period the new drummer had to fit in. The show offers a wide dynamic range; with 2 rather calm songs (SWBW & Miranda) which include an acoustic guitar played by Henry Trejo (guitar tech), but also with some powerful tracks (Goliath or Roulette e.g.), the come-back of the salsa rhythms of L'Via and some very interesting and long jams during Eriatarka and Cicatriz. Cedric added a nice crooning to Viscera's guitar solo (4:16), while Dave looked rather exhausted after his little drum solo (compared to the former drummer TP), still I thought he did a very good job and tried hard to give everything. Some pictures of the amazing venue from their website ( http://www.vooruit.be ) and cover art are also included, feel free to use it or post something you made. Visit the Comatorium ( http://forum.thecomatorium.com/forum/ ) for reviews and more from the show. Since I did not bring my camera, I'm still looking for photos of this particular show. Please do not convert the recording to mp3 or other lossy formats unless for personal use. And please do not sell. Enjoy!
