Note from stepeanut:
In the course of researching the date of this tape, I happened across a mention of the Rainbow shows in David Sheppard's Eno biography, "On Some Faraway Beach". Sheppard notes that the two shows went off without a hitch, save for Manzanera blowing his amp during his solo on "Beauty Queen" on the second night. You can find this reference on page 122 of the paperback edition. I hear no evidence of this incident on either circulating tape. Therefore, I conclude that this must have been recorded on the first night, 1973-03-31. sww1975 concurs. |
