Comment
Frequently listed as Jimi's apartment, various dates in 1968. All previous entries have been merged into this one.

This cd was an official CD that was only available if you purchased the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend Of Jimi Hendrix". The book clearly states that these recordings were recorded in NYC around April of 1968; another session book pegs this date as April 12th.

The book was published by Penguin Books in the USA, England, Canada and New Zealand and was first published in 1995 but I think it's no longer in print. The book is more like a hard-bound comic book and If anyone wants to try tracking it down, the ISBN# is 0-670-86789-6.

"See My Music Talking"] / Outtake 1968 / Home Recording, Jimi's House, Shokan, NY summer 1969) Mostly 1st & 2nd Gen. Home demos were recorded at the Drake Hotel, they are in stereo, and are better quality than the ones on "Jimi Hendrix: The Home Recordings" that came with the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend of Jimi Hendrix" (Martin Green & Bill Seinkiewicz, Penguin Studio, 1995). The "Long Hot Summer Night" takes, and "Gypsy Eyes" have never been circulated in this condition before. "Dance in the Desert" is brighter but hissier than on bootlegs.
