unknown cassette recorder & microphone(s) -> master audience cassette tape (stereo or mono?) ->... |
Notes: |
::: Quite fine AUD, but in stadium with raucus crowd. Check samples for ear testin' or to cop a feel o' the funk.
::: Warts: Fixed most dropouts & dullspots but surely missed a few. Excessive yelling, laughing & talking in #2. After that it's just an occasional thing & could mostly be lowered in volume. Some clapping occasionally but 'twas most was lowered except 1 minute of unfixable clapping in latter part of #7, & again in #9. Also #9 has a bit of singalong.
::: Contrast clause: This is the Mk2 version, carefully remastered & using light EQ. The non-EQ'd Mk1 version is elsewhere.
::: The "Stade de L'Ouest" football stadium was also known as "Parc des Sports de L'Ouest".
::: The Meters were opening for The Rolling Stones on their "Black & Blue" tour.
::: "Trick Bag", the new album by The Meters, was already finished & was released in July (a few weeks after this gig).
::: MANY thanks should go to the French Gentleman for tapin' & DIMER unclemeat for facilitatin'.
::: If there is refining needed in the setlist department, do oblige.
::: If you get audio contact highs, watch out! Some people in the audience near the mike might be snorting DRUGS! |
