Macabre at Bill's Bar, Boston, MA, March 17, 2004, audience recording, new transfer.
This was recorded with Sony TCS-580V cassette recorder, with built-in stereo mics . Maxell XLII went from Onkyo TA-RW313 into Audigy Soundblaster SE. I used Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 12 to make the initial wav files and the track markings, as well as some minor edits. I exported the finished product to a folder on my hard drive. Wav converted to flac with Trader's Little Helper.

01 - Acid Bath Vampire
02 - Dr. Holmes, He Stripped Their Bones
03 - Dog Guts
04 - Albert Was Worse Than Any Fish In The Sea

The sound quality on this gets a B+. There is a start/stop between tracks 08 and 09, and I would guess about a second is absent, and I didn't clean up the edit. There is a tape flip that occurs between tracks 12 and 13, and I removed any blank space, as well as the clunk from the flip. The show itself was wicked sick. It was kind of a low turn-out for a band who are so freakin' awesome. I'm posting this now, in hopes that some of their more recent gigs will show up here, as they haven't played near me in years. They are playing some gigs in Australia, towards the end of the month, and I'd really love to hear those.
This is a different transfer than what I have uploaded in the past. My previous upload came from a cdr I made with Pioneer PDR-509 standalone recorder. On this version, there is no cdr in the lineage, and SBE's have been detected and corrected. I took a bunch of photos at this show, but I've misplaced them. If anybody's is interested, leave a comment, and I'll keep you posted when they turn up (I know they are in one of these damned boxes!).
Enjoy - don't sell, don't circulate lossy, and give credit to crematia13 |
