Notes: The Who - Quadrophenia San Jose Arena October 20, 1996 SBD Flac Cdr-EAC-Flac Not as hard hitting as their younger Daze, this is still a very good recording. More Steril then the Raw sound, they still put on a very good show... Of corse they need extra help.. (don't we all) Line-up: Roger Daltry, John Eniwisle, Pete Townsiend, John Rabbit Bundrick, Zac Starkey, Jon Carin, Simon Townshend, Neil Sidwell, Billy Nichols, Simon Gardner, Dennis Parias, Nick Lane, Roy Wiegand, Ben Waters... With all the extra help it sounds almost as good as the offical lp.. Plus some voice telling the Story... To my knowlege none of this show as ever been on any offical recording... checked several places..... Enjoy...... Comments: Nice soundboard, complete performance Disc 1: I Am the Sea The Real Me Quadrophenia Cut My Hair The Punk Meets the Godfather I'm One The Dirty Jobs Helpless Dancer Is It In My Head I've Had Enough 5:15 Sea and Sand Drowned Bell Boy Disc 2: Doctor Jimmy The Rock Love, Rein O'er Me I Am the Face Won't Get Fooled Again Behind Blue Eyes Who Are You Just to reconfirm the guests as I was also there. Billy Idol played Ace Face and Gary Glitter was The Godfather. And the comment about Daltry pushing Idol. This was part of the "act." As during Bellboy, Idol carried the luggage past Daltry and this is was were he pushed the bellboy knocking him over. Thanks for posting this, it was a killer show and nice to finally have something I attended. I was at this show and confirm that Billy Idol and Gary Glitter were both there. Billy was on the right side of the stage and Gary was on the left. Actually, at one point in the show it looked like Roger and Billy had some words and Billy pushed Roger in the chest. I thought that Roger was going to throw a punch. I can't imagine someone being that the show and not remembering that. One other thing, Pete played no electric guitar at this show, only acoustic. Another interesting note, both Billy and Pete played at the Bridge School Benefit at the Shoreline Amphitheatre earlier the same day.
