He found my list online & saw that we had a lot of common interests. He was kind of pointing to the Aerosmith & Rory Gallagher similarities (of his list to mine). He stated that he has recorded quite a few Ohio shows, that he had not really traded yet .... or even transferred to discs yet. He started with my Rory Gallaghers, & he noted that the common 3-24-91 FM source was recorded by his wife while he was at the show recording an audience source. He did not think I was interested in the AUD source, but I pride myself as possibly having the largest Rory collection, & I told him the AUD source was a must!! OK, sorry for getting off topic (Nirvana). He also stated that he had a Nirvana show (& a bunch of other artists too, i.e. Johnny Winter, Aerosmith, etc.) that were not part of my collection. Well, he had never traded this Nirvana show & proceeded to digitize it to his hard drive & burn a CDR copy for my & for himself. So I believe that his CDr copy & mine are the same generation / lineage: AUD(M) > CDr(M) .... I also asked him questions about what set-up he used (i.e. mics, rig, etc.), but I never received that information. We completed our 1st trade together & I tried to set-up a 2nd trade, but it just never worked out for either of us. Then about 3 years ago I visited livenirvana.com & noticed that this source was not in circulation, so I offered it to that community. All of a sudden I had trades coming from a large number of traders. This recording was a major upgrade to the one that was in circulation (which I still do not have). After a few trades a couple of the traders said they thought they could hear the faint snaps or index marks (SBE) between tracks, but quite a few of the traders came forward & said they could not hear them, as I had also thought. The taper did send me that recording on Memorex discs, which I do not like at all. Also at this time I started a trade with Kris Sproul (you Nirvana freaks will know who I'm referring to) & of course Kris wanted to document this source as much as possible, as he was hosting the show / tour / sources online info at that time. Therefore, I started e-mailing the taper again, & eventually was back in contact with him. I mentioned that the discs may have the faint snaps between tracks & I was in search of the recording equipment information. He stated immediately that he had the original transferral of music still on his hard drive & he immediately sent me out another copy. I continued to ask for the rig / rec'g info, but I never received it, & I have never heard from him since. He sent me another copy, but again, still on Memorex discs. I will not release the tapers name, as he never gave me permission to do so, even though I believe he would not have minded. He was a great trader, but the final information could not be collected. checksums: 5ed271434e305419018a115f09a9e71d *nirvana1993-10-31d1t01.shn 3b0c4d3cdcef1c570d129890d8214549 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t02.shn 4a19193d2b1e90c83a55fd73fdc24818 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t03.shn 67ddf1f58e03d4d690ce8baa420fa548 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t04.shn d8ecb35aeb01b5298f2c7a87874701bd *nirvana1993-10-31d1t05.shn ece687845712f0670c14589c87ded3b9 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t06.shn fe02032f85135fd0b049cf8f357469f5 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t07.shn 16695a200cd1d9940607a4ed913327a6 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t08.shn 87938596bf3b1c9a33c5a9eb7d79a2b9 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t09.shn d03b7f1d600f2321c6c608fc0d51f269 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t10.shn 65a8ba172f4f3e9c238bf6aa984073a3 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t11.shn 4bdbf55d9673c6245646cadddaabde4a *nirvana1993-10-31d1t12.shn 09c7bfa00d4e739805831c1fd230f0e7 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t13.shn 010b2b21bad2cd92edbca8d07b8d3658 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t14.shn d2fa4c7f16e589ec0e8ad49bb039ca0c *nirvana1993-10-31d1t15.shn e82e42161b49571d6335eda148f72952 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t16.shn b825f835ddf3d7d712ef577848da3797 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t17.shn 989a14a2373e358eb221b40f255afeb6 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t18.shn 84b3699264139233d7555d0e74cd1116 *nirvana1993-10-31d1t19.shn dbef55fd77f04e5e1702ee9fb80b712e *nirvana1993-10-31d2t01.shn 1827a0a9916ca49120886b47d9e788e0 *nirvana1993-10-31d2t02.shn 00f4423b5bcfaaae5957122205949ea7 *nirvana1993-10-31d2t03.shn 55d356851b5391afb611884f4ab4504a *nirvana1993-10-31d2t04.shn length expanded size cdr WAVE probs filename 6:30.55 68925404 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t01.shn 4:15.57 45116108 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t02.shn 4:00.34 42416012 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t03.shn 4:15.32 45057308 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t04.shn 3:00.34 31832012 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t05.shn 2:00.45 21273884 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t06.shn 4:40.35 49474364 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t07.shn 2:25.51 25697996 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t08.shn 3:40.27 38871548 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t09.shn 4:30.53 47752700 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t10.shn 3:40.48 38920940 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t11.shn 4:43.66 50076476 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t12.shn 4:26.11 46948316 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t13.shn 2:45.37 29193068 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t14.shn 3:30.64 37194572 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t15.shn 4:20.44 45967532 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t16.shn 3:45.26 39751196 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t17.shn 2:20.30 24766604 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t18.shn 4:01.46 42620636 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d1t19.shn 5:15.72 55735388 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d2t01.shn 4:35.61 48653516 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d2t02.shn 3:45.43 39791180 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d2t03.shn 6:39.50 70501244 --- -- -xx nirvana1993-10-31d2t04.shn 93:12.46 986538004 B (totals for 23 files, 0.7240 overall compression ratio)
