Notes: Frank Zappa - Palasport, Bologna, Italy, August 30th 1973, from FB master. Set list is really close to the following, but probably there are some imperfections, so any help and corrections are more than welcome. 1. Zappa talks > Dupree's Paradise 2. Band Introduction > 3. Cosmik Debris (1 light drop) 4. Eric Dolphy Memorial Barbecue > Kung Fu > Penguin In Bondage > Dog Meat > (1 drop in the transition between tracks 5 & 6) 5. RDNZL > Drums solo > Farther Oblivion > Band Introduction Encores : 6. Crowd 7. Tuning > Brown Shoes Don't Make It Some notes regarding this tape : 1. Some sources report the date of this show as August 3rd and Rome as the 4th, and to be honest i have to say that also FB on his cassette box reports this show as August 3rd...but what make me think that the 30th is the correct date is that at the end of the show the italian promoter announces that under the big request Frank Zappa has decided to add another italian show at the palasport in Genova on September 20th, so the 30th as correct date make more sense to me.... 2. This recording is definetely the best one i have heard of this show. Sound is really clean, and i think is actually amazing for a 73 audience recording probably done with a cheap equipment...with a little extra work on it, it sounds really cool to me.... Taper : FB Transfered, remastered & uploaded by 38f on Dime 2006. Master cassette (nack) > behringer ultra curve pro deq 2496 audio equalizer > amplifiers > tascam audio cdrw750 > cd > computer > plex tool professional XL > wav > flac.
