Notes: Grateful Dead Shoreline Amphitheatre "Summer Solstice '89" Mountain View, CA June 21, 1989 This top-drawer Dead show was uploaded at TTD three years ago, and is still active there with more than 1300 completes, last time I checked. It also happens to be the first live Dead video I ever recorded (VHS, of course), where I and seven of my friends daisy-chained eight VCRs together in order to grab individual 'first-gen' copies from the pay-per-view broadcast. While I still have the tapes, they are now well-worn, and so I was very happy to find a DVD copy of this when I did. It appears as if the between-sets footage of fans shopping amongst the vendors, originally aired in 1989, has been omitted from this version. Not a big issue, though, as there is a small amount of that kind of footage included before the show begins. Specs, per MattMan/TTD...
