Notes: |
There are no fades between tracks on this but the transition from 'Running To Stand Still' to the 'Human Rights Video' offers a nice little quiet gap.
This show is not equal to the superior recordings that we have seen surface on the Vertigo 05 tour. The PA mix came out a little weak for most of the songs, and being in the stands there is more noticeable crowd noise between songs. If no other version of 04/28 surfaces then I would encourage those with audio editing skills to do their best and clean up and improve where they can on this recording. After the likes of Chris and Edgar's recordings it's difficult to compare this show with theirs, but I hope those who were in attendance of this show or those looking to complete their Veritgo 05 bootleg collections enjoy this show.

"Call Prime Minister Martin at 613-992-4211"
Notes: I was fortunate enough to have recorded the funny intervention by U2?s Stage Manager (Rocko Reedy) informing the audience that the show was delayed because of technical difficulties. There are some level drop outs in one channel of track 1 and 3 of Disc 1.
To all U2 fans out there, old and new, please enjoy this one from all your Canadians friends.
This recording is not a bassy at the alternate posting a few weeks ago; I wouldn?t say it is better, just different?Enjoy it |

Original Taper Comments: I was fortunate enough to have recorded the funny intervention by U2?s Stage Manager (Rocko Reedy) informing the audience that the show was delayed because of technical difficulties.
Remix Comments: This recording was originally very nice. The majority of the remix work was around fixing the dropouts on the first 3 tracks. Significant work went into recreating about 30 seconds of the intro to COBL (track 3), which was recorded in Mono (with dropouts) due to a microphone short. Additional remixing was done to expand the dynamic range of the recording and add back the low-mid range of sound.
MANY MANY thanks to MGT for his original taping effort, and for his support and approval of this remix. This recording would not be possible without his kind and generous donation to the community.
And as the original posting of this show declared (and being Canadian as well, seconded by me!)
"To all U2 fans out there, old and new, please enjoy this one from all your Canadian friends."
