Updated the third track of Set I to reflect that it was a Gonzo Improv, and NOT Tubby. I still think it's just like an improv of Gonzo though, and not the full tune ... I originally posted the following on torrent comments when we were calling it "Tubby", but I've simply replaced that title with Gonzo so my explanation makes more sense now: ---------------------------------------------------- "... I labeled Gonzo as Gonzo Improv because while they do latch onto the theme for a couple of minutes more solidly @15:08, the preceding couple minutes I think are still within the tune's themes too so it's more like they were toying with it, resolved to the main theme, and then just kept pushing onwards out into the Bass Solo ... VERY cool moment to pop up in the midst of all that! Reminds me a bit of the weird Angel Race that floated up in Set I of 11/21/2009 out of the opening Improvs and then the band just kept moving on after toying with and outright playing the song's melody without actually really playing the tune in a more structured sense ... these guys are fantastic!" ---------------------------------------------------- ... apologies for perpetuating the confusion ... |
