The "Get It" button points to the wrong fileset. This speed/pitch fixed fileset can be had here: http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=27397 Bert |

10/23/2006 | Albix | Every single "Get It" button on this site takes you to the first fileset of a given source that was posted to bt.etree.org. If there are 5 sources from a given show, they all point to just one torrent listing.

04/16/2007 | shinyraven | hi there. thanks for the feedback. can you elaborate on that? do you mean it sounds, like "they play to fast"? Or is the tuning off (or both)?

BTW, note that i did not touch the patched bits --- i did also not tune to the patches, but to concert pitch. so they should be a good yardstick to see, if my fiddling ended up making your source too fast. That of course is presuming the sourced used for patching is about ok in terms of pitch/speed. thanks for your feedback, charlie. |

First off, I think that only the 2nd set is from 16 track reels and the first set is from 2 track reels. Also, I think the pitch was adjusted slightly too much thus making it too fast. I'm not 100% sure about this, but to my ears, that's how it sounds. I have only scanned portions of disc one. As for the patches, I pulled those from the old circulating sources which may too be off pitch. I don't recall if i did any adjusting with the patches, but I probably should have :) cm |

Thanks a lot for even more info on this!!!! I listened to d1 in the car just now and noticed cumberland has the most changes in and out of 16 track with the patch being the old sbd source. I have to say, it even occurs to me that my "fiddling" ;-) has left the 16 track if anything a bit slower than the patch source. Of course, it's anybodies guess, how much mental state and being in a car has informed that impression just now... hehe. At any rate and keeping the above said in mind (I didn't tune to the source but to concert pitch, which pigpens b3 surely played at): both sources line up fairly well now and make for quite a pleasant listen IMHO. That being said, I wouldn't claim that this is the be and end all of pitch corrections ;-). Works a treat for me, though. Let me thank you again for a fantastic source of this genius of a show. Bert |
