Both are generated, processed, missing 10+ minutes of the introduction and ultimately sourced from this cassette master. I would rate the sound quality as B. What is particularly interesting and unique about this tape is that it includes most if not almost all of the bizarre tape the band played before hitting the stage. http://www.collectiveunconscious.org/94toronto0223.html **************************** NOT FOR SALE!!! Ryan A. (4/5) cdr / 1 B View   Unknown analogue > cdr
Notes: This is the more commonly circulated source for 2.23.94 Toronto. It's a very tinny recording: lots of high end, zero bass, and a strong live hall echo to it. There are two sources to this show. Check my other source of this show for details/differencesbetween the two.
Ryan A. (4/5) cdr / 1 B View   Unknown > cdr (the info I received for this was ASBM > DDC2 > cdr. This could be, but it is not...
Notes: This is the second, less common source for 2.23.94. I was traded it with the info: ASBM > DDC2 > 2nd gen cdr. I can't verify this though. The recording has been run through several gens of analogue tape, then transferred onto cdr, so there is a light tape hiss coating the sound. I cannot tell if this is simply the other source that has been dubbed on cassette, then onto cdr, thus accounting for the difference in sound between the two or not. However, this does not sound like it is the case. This source is much richer in sound than the tinny other source. It has a full bottom end, in addition to complete mid and highs as well. If it weren't for the tape hiss, this would be a damn good sounding sourced show. ** NOTE: This version has been circulating/labeled as 2.23.93 - Newcastle, England. This is incorrect.
