LB-7014, (68min+29min), Taper: V4TX, DPA4061>Sony D100>CDR>EAC>FLAC, These are no way perfect recordings, but I've received a request for my masters so I thought I'd share. The Dallas show suffers from a bit of crowd noise and a lack of vocals, but other versions seem to suffer from the lack of vocals too, and I feel the instruments on this version are a bit brighter. Before the Granada got its new owners it wasn't much more than a hall that happened to have concerts every once in awhile. The sound system was terrible, and it was very user unfriendly. This show suffered from the venue, more than from a bad performance. If I was standing in the sme spot recording in today's Granada the sound would be 100% better; bittorrent download 11/08; torrented with 4/19/03 LB-7015; different recording than bd LB-971, bw LB-977, and LB-980 based on different crowd at end of d1t1; in 4-way comparison on d1t4 bd LB-971, bw LB-977, and LB-980 sounded similar and some of the crowd noise made it sound as if they were all near each other; of these 3 bw LB-977 has the warmest sound and LB-980 the brightest; this one was much harsher, distant and echoey; (did not listen to all of this) |
