Mike Langen (2/4.9) cdr / 1 A View   sbrd>fm
Notes: Broadcast a few weeks later (definitely prior to 1983-11-19). Billy Gibbons : Guitar, Vocals Dusty Hill : Bass Guitar, Vocals Frank Beard : Drums Played AFTER Diamond Head, Dio and Twisted Siter Played BEFORE Meat Loaf and headliners Whitesnake. This may ... or may not ... be a complete performance. At the end of the broadcast - and removed from this edit - Tommy Vance stated "there is no more on that tape that we have here of ZZ Top". Low marks for grammar and intelligibility, but the point would seem to be that this 30 minute recording is all that was available, or supplied for broadcast. SB > (recorded, not live) > BBC Radio FM broadcast > unknown tuner > Aiwa F770 > TDK SA-C90 cassette master > Cassette playback on Pioneer CT-S550S with azimuth correction > Sony JE530 A/D (44.1k) > Nomad JB3 > .wav > Adobe Audition > .wav > CDWAV > FLAC frontend > .flac files Note: The Sony JE530 is a minidisc recorder, however a pure digital output is available when using it as a "passthrough" device. Therefore, despite the presence of a minidisc device in this lineage there is no MD/ ATRAC compression. 1. Gimmie All Your Lovin' 4:32 2. Wating For The Bus > 2:31 3. Jesus Just Left Chicago 4:01 4. Sharp Dressed Man 4:32 5. Party On The Patio 2:51 6. Tube Snake Boogie > 3:19 7. La Grange 4:02 8. Tush 3:54 9. Interview (1983-11-26) 7:52 Total Time : [37:35] Editing: Left channel samples x 125% (+1.94db). Right channel samples x 130% (+2.28db). Fade at start and end. A few instances (approx 15) of FM static or clicks were removed or reduced using the Click Removal tool in Adobe Audition. In addition, clumps of static at the following points: Burst @ 9:55 - 10:02 (a hint of this remains) Burst @ 17:52 - 17:55 Burst @ 24:23 Slightly repaired (still very noticable) R channel dropout @ 17:51, also @ 28:11 Interview is from "Saturday Live" broadcast 1983-11-26. Interviews on this programme were sometimes live, and sometimes prerecorded. Lineage is otherwise identical (recorded to the same cassette even). Fade at start and end. Music removed.
