Notes: Source: "The Gelston Acetates, vol. 3" Note: These acetates are a considerable upgrade on the previous versions that circulated generally, which are thought to have been no better than 2nd analog gen. They are not perfect; there are a number of skips and crackles from the original source, although these have been minimised by the CDR producer. They reportedly were mastered from an analog tape taken directly from the original acetates. When JVS bought these (,000?). He wouldn't make copies. In the early days (pre-DAT) he sold copies for a high price. He owed me a favour and did make a copy. These means for us acetate>tape>CD. I got these 3 disks from an lovely english collector years ago. You can hear the cracks of the acetates.

Notes: This fileset is a compilatino of 3 appearances + an interview. The 5 first tracks are nice (A-). The 6th is quite blurred (B-C+). The tracks 7 to 9 are a bit noisy but still good (B). The boot is taken from a Vinyl so there are crackles all along the disc...though it's not a bad fileset to get ;o).
