Audience Reel |
Notes: |
("The legend behind this 1965 audience recording is that two girls smuggled a reel-to-reel tape recorder into the show. Our heroines turned off the recorder at times, probably to save battery power, and some tracks are incomplete. "With God On Our Side" ends abruptly; "It Ain't Me Babe" is also cut short. Some songs may just be missing entirely (Hattie Carroll)., At times the girls can be heard, but they're not that intrusive. Mostly they seem to be worried about whether the recorder is working. It was, and the tape isn't all that bad considering the circumstances. This may not be a pristine document like today's audience recordings, but it does put you in the room at a gig, on Dylan's last entirely solo American tour.")
Minor Distortion In Places, Minor Crowd Noise, But Not Bad Considering The Age Of The Recording. It's Definitely Listenable. |

The version I have may have been remastered. Source, recording process, & lineage info are unclear. Filler (t13-17) = tracks from 5/7/65 & 8/8/65 (entire versions of songs clipped by the taper of the 3/27/65 show).

Notes: |
If I remember correctly, this is the infamous show where the two girls smuggled the reel recorder in and taped it. Cant remember for sure though. Interesting document, but not an essential. |
