Notes: | Bootleg Title: "Electric Black Nite Crash" Manufacturer: Junkyard Angel 1998 *Review from Bobsboots e07: The newly surfaced Hollywood Bowl tape is every bit as fascinating as had been rumored. The acoustic set is breath-taking perfection. The electric set doesn't 'crash' quite as hard as it will in the year to follow, but that's what makes it so wonderful. It shows an artist testing the waters for the onslaught to come. The cover photo of Dylan behind an interview microphone is spellbinding. The back cover contains the surrealistic artwork 'Desolation Row' from the 1970 LP release 'Daddy Rollin' Stone'. The title comes from a rare 1971 LP 'Black Nite Crash'. The only other relation they share is an early '60s acoustic set followed by the crash. This show is both historic, and wonderful listening. ? 2000 Craig Pinkerton Bobsboots.com [link]http://www.bobsboots.com/CDs/cd-e07.html[/link]

The acoustic set is breath-taking perfection. The electric set doesn't 'roar' quite as loud as it will in the year to follow, but that's what makes it so wonderful. It shows an artist testing the waters for the onslaught to come. This show is both historic, and wonderful listening. **VigOtone VT-170/171**
