The first time I heard it, I was in shock: this is a super quality soundboard of David solo in the Big Apple and it is a remarkable performance. This is David on the up: after the release of A Cenury Ends and he is on the crest of a wave. But it doesn't really sound like it's an ordinary gig and I suspect it might be an industry showcase. Passionate versions of Debauchery, Wisdom - an ultra rare Lara's Song (L's Song as released on the Birds Without Wings CD5) - and an unbelievable version of Rolling Stone strewn with profanity at the crowd. Wonderful moments: he's obviously just married and remarks on still getting used to introducing "my wife" ... breaking strings and telling the crowd to "ponder the profundities" of the last song! | |||||
