Notes: Supposedly this is Nirvana's last show, known as the famous "Roma" bootleg. Certainly it is one of the band's final performances since a few days later Kurt Cobain overdosed on champagne and tranquilizers in his Rome hotel room and cancelled the band's tour. Less than two months later, on April 8th, he was found dead in his home. He had been shot 3 days earlier while high on a lethal dose of heroin. (Thanks for setting me straight Lisa!). Superb sound and an unbelievably tight, enthusiastic performance covering all of their three studio LPs. Thanks Chris

Notes: "XXII II MCMXCIV" The orignal commercially produced bootleg. It may seem strange that this show is on my list twice but I appear to have the same boot twice, one version officially rated as the best so I just had to have the best! DigitalNirvana rates this boot A+/100% (one of the few 100% rated) and says: This is a show that is very common, sounds good enough to be an official release, and should be bought on one title or another by every Nirvana fan. In a recent conversation in the Nirvana Collectors' forum, the sound quality of this disc was determined to be slightly better than that of Roma. For this reason, "XXII II MCMXCIV" receives a grade of 100% while Roma gets 99% (one point subtraction). This is the best disc to get the highest quality complete version of 2-22-94. So I have Roma and "XXII II MCMXCIV". You get to choose! Thanks Mike!
