LB-5219, (70min+57min), Taper: NET Taper B, Source: Low-gen audio disks > (dBpowerAMP set to compression level 6) flac., Note: The label "NET Taper B" was assigned to this taper before I was aware that his recordings pre-dated the beginning of the NET., Since other errors had also been made in this regard (for example, NET Taper A), and since it was impossible to undo the previous, torrents where the identification was used. I decided simply to retain the erroneous label so as to have a single label attached to a, single taper. This taper is sometimes referred to be his initials, but I have no direct evidence that such an identification is, approved by the taper. (The taper identification here is from my source for the recording; his identifications have been, in my, experience, among the most reliable.), Note: There are three versions of this show archived at LB. One of these, LB-801,is said to be from the "cb" master. If so, then, it is a different master from the present torrent. The second, LB-1813, the Fendert conversion, was judged by the LB textfile, writer to be from the same recording as the "cb" master. The third version, LB-3915,is from the "sm" master. It may be, then, that, this version is different from these three items. However, I have been unable to verify whether it is correct that all three of these, great tapers ("cb", "sm", NET Taper B) did indeed tape this show, and I have not had an opportunity to compare the present recording, to the LB items. In some respects, all the recordings listed and also the NTB version are similar. The sound of rain, at the end of d1 t6 seems common to all the recordings. All versions seem to have "Imagination" cut out, but the LB textfiles, say "most" of it is cut while the NTB version has only Dylan's intro and none of the actual song -- perhaps there is some, difference here., There is a very clear fingerprint, however, on the NTB version that is not mentioned in any of the LB textfiles:, at the beginning of track 5 before Maggie's Farm, there is some clear talking involving umbrellas and having a spare one! This, is such an obvious fingerprint that any one wishing to know whether (s)he has this recording can check it quickly., As far as I know, this date has not been shared at HC, so I am offering it both because it may be an alternative to the current, LB entries and even more because it is a fine recording in my opinion.; bittorrent download 07/07; this is a close eac match to LB-801 on d1t3; (did not listen to all of this) |

LB-6302, (64min+64min), version "d" (fendert v2); Converted by: Fendert, Conversion: Tape>?x>CDR>Wav>FLAC [uploaded by Fendert to STG in 2004; at least (but probably only) one subsequent CD-R generation; downloaded from Dime in 2006]; bittorrent download 07/08; apparently fendert torrented 2 sets of 1984 recordings with similar info file headers and this is believed to be from the second set; this is same recording as LB-801 and fendert LB-1813 based on same clapping and crowd at beginning of d1t3 and d2t7; all 3 have different sound processing and analog lineage so this is not the same as fendert LB-1813 as indicated by same info file; these 3 all have similar sound quality; for hiss at the beginning of d1t3, LB-801 has the most, then this, then sm LB-3915 and then fendert LB-1813; sm LB-3915 is not as harsh as the other 3; (did not listen to all of this) (comment on torrent: "this versiion is the exact version u/l to STG by FenT IN 2004 I d/l the full tour as far as it was seeded before the demise of STG and before fen finished his project.all of these shows have been sitting on one of my many hard drives ever since and has not been transferred to cd .the reason the tracks are numbered in the way they are is because Fen u/l them approx .6 shows at a time which was not allowed at Dime AND they had to be split into single shows ,. so i have just made a MD5 CHECKSUM from my original D/L AT stg and it matches yours so this is the original and not the LB one.tbc"); so it looks like fendert uploaded two different versions in 2004 with same info file header; the LB-1812 fendert version for 6/10/84 has flac files with timestamps of 6/10/04 which corresponds to the fendert comment in the info file of releasing each show on the 20th anniversary of the show, similarly the 6/9/84 fendert LB-1809 has similar file naming scheme to LB-1812 with a timestamp of 6/9/04, so maybe fendert did a re-torrent where he batched the shows up and used different file naming convention as well as different sources but with the same info file header |

LB-3915, (67min+64min), Taper: SM, Source: First generation tape; different recording than cb LB-801 as this one has some talking at begin of d1t3; in comparison this one has less hiss and warmer fuller sound but probably has a lot more crowd noise; sounds like rain near end of d1t4 and much more at end of d1t6; background talking d1t9, d1t10, d1t11, d2t6; drumming on d1t12
drop d1t12 0:35, big analog drop/cut d1t12 3:43. drop d2t6 2:56, 4:11; pop/drop d2t7 1:00, drop d2t7 3:40, d2t9 1:52, d2t11 0:10, d2t12 0:35, 2:20, 3:44
