"MCA Demo: April 1990 Smart Demos + Bleach tracks"

Source: This recording was sourced from a tape given to an MCA Records A&R rep, Bret Hartman, by the band. This tape was used as the source for the MCA Nirvana Demo that was listed on eBay for over $300, so this source is one generation lower than that one. Actual generation info is not known, other than its probably quite low, given it was provided by the band. Tracks 8, 9, & 10 were tacked onto the end by Kurt, and are just recorded from the vinyl Bleach release. It appears the Sifting clip is from whatever was on the tape prior to Kurt adding the other songs.

Notes: Notes: recording cuts into "Sifting". Tracks 8-11 are not from this session! Here She Comes Now was also recorded in this session, but unfortunately it doesn't feature on this recording. Source: according to the wise men in LiveNirvana, it is the "BretCD" source. There were different opinions presented - one that all the tracks are found in better quality elsewhere, the other that "Lithium" and "Sappy" from this source are of best known quality.
