AC/DC
CBGB's CLUB, NYC, NY
AUG 24 1978 Late Night
Recorded By: RB FRANCOS
Transfrd By: ACCA**DACCA
Source : VINYL 7" SINGLE
Mastering : THORENS TURNTABLE ->SONY DAT 44K -> COOL EDIT EQ > WAV > FLAC
File Size : 92.1 MB (FLAC)
Quality : EXCELLENT AUDIENCE FOR TIME(B)
NOTES
Heres a recently unearthed (late 2002) treasure featuring 2 tracks from the CBGB show from 1977
where AC/DC made a guest appearance during a show featuring The Marbles and Avenger, two popular
punk artists of the time. Having opened for The Dictators at the sold out Palladium, the band
a hasty exit across town, gear and all to play following the set by the Marbles. It so happens
RB FRANCOS was there to tape the punk outfit and allowed the recorder to run the length of the
remaining tape and thus captured the infant AC/DC for their first 2 opening tracks. These are from
the master tape and although not high fidelity, Ive spent countless hours making it sound pretty
darn sweet. Enjoy...the rarest of the rare AC/DC with Bon Scott during the bands first ever tour
of the United States.
The artwork included features the 'surreal' photos taken by the same guy with a little instamatic .
ALso included is a brief tour history for the band during 1977. This was originally released
on very limited clear vinyl 7" (now nearly impossible to find)
Crack a cold one and put on the headphones....this is a kick...one of the coolest live versions
of Shes Got Balls I can remember. If interest is high in this snippet, Ill download the earlier Palladium show
from the same night . You'll love the preshow chatter ..priceless !
